Lisa Poley to co-chair board for Cohousing Association of the United States

Lisa Poley, Senior Research Associate at VTIPG, will serve as co-chair of the board for the Cohousing Association of the United States for 2009. The Cohousing Association of the United States' (Coho/US) mission is to promote the awareness and development of cohousing and to provide sustenance to existing cohousing communities in the United States. Dr. Poley is a founding member of Shadowlake Village Cohousing in Blacksburg, Virginia and completed her doctoral research on democratic and civic engagement and cohousing.Her current research is in the areas of community development, democracy building and sustainability.
