Marcy Schnitzer to participate in GLC Speaker Series

Marcy Schnitzer, doctoral student in the School of Public and International Affairs and VTIPG research associate will participate in the Graduate Life Center's Speaker Series for Spring 2009 on the theme "Energy for Research//Research on Energy". Marcy's talk is entitled "Actually Existing Democracy and Energy Justice: The Role of the Transnational Public Sphere." The GLC Speaker Series features engaging faculty and graduate student speakers from departments across Virginia Tech. Marcy was chosen for her research on environmental justice organizations in the Appalachian region.
