International Forum on Sport, Peace and Development

IPG Director, Max Stephenson, recently presented at the first International Forum on Sport, Peace and Development sponsored by the International Olympic Committee. The forum was held on May 7 and 8 in Lausanne, Switzerland. Discussions centered on how sport can contribute to development, peace and national cohesion. Dr. Stephenson along with Dr. Eugenia Vathakou presented preliminary plans for the Handbook on Sport for Peace that they are developing for the Olympic Truce Center.
