Virginia Tech Child Advocacy Services

VTIPG provides expertise in the review of child welfare cases for indicators of disability; files applications on behalf of children with disabilities and follows-up during the application process with SSA and the LDSS through the appeal process, as necessary and appropriate; and provides technical assistance and support to LDSS social workers throughout the SSI application process. 

These services are provided on a per child, per component fee-basis throughout the Commonwealth and surrounding areas.  Services are listed on the Comprehensive Services Act (CSA) Service Fee Directory, found at http://www.csa.state.va.us/sfd/service_fee_directory.cfm

Nonprofit and Nongovernmental Organization Capacity Building Program

VTIPG provides training and technical assistance to nonprofits and nongovernmental organizations.  The following menu of services is available on a fee basis through Virginia Tech Outreach Program Development throughout the Commonwealth and surrounding areas.

Association Management Series and Certificate

Designed to provide CEU's* to meet certification requirements for association professionals, courses in the series are tailored to specific knowledge and skills for association management and; They are located in Old Town Alexandria, are metro accessible and scheduled to be convenient for working professionals.

Courses may be taken individually or as a Certificate series. A Certificate in Association Management will be awarded upon successful completion of 10 CEUs*, including the Foundations of Association Management and two current Topics in Association Management courses. Courses will be scheduled to allow participants to complete the Certificate requirements within 12 months. 

Offered by Virginia Tech’s Outreach Program Development in the National Capital Region in partnership with  VTIPG.
